Halfway to Santiago de Compostela

Yay!!  We made it to Terradillos de Los Templarios.  ( Now that is a mouthful!!)    We just walked 17 kilometers without a town or tree in site.   It was our longest stretch without a small village or "farm"  of some sort.

It was a good walking day.   I felt really good physically after a good nights sleep and a good pilgrim's mass last night.   There were many many more people on the road today and I enjoy getting  to chat with  new pilgrims from around the world.

I find that I really need my sleep and now that I have been on the road for awhile, I understand that for a couple of Euro extra, I can be in a smaller room with less people and a better bed.   I think that it is money well spent for 2 Euro ($2.75 today)
It is very rural in the area I am now walking.  It appears to have more people on the trail and I would imagine that each day we will pick up Europeans who have been walking parts of the trail for years and those who only choose to walk the last half.

There will be many people who join us on the last 100 kilometers.   You can get a certificate  for walking the Camino if you do the last 100k and many do only that portion.
