" Hola, I am writing from just outside Burgos. The cathedral was INCREDIBLE . It is also a world heritage site. There was so much gold and sculpture and art and bodies buried all over the place. Someone said it was one of the grandest in Europe. That is true I am sure!! So beautiful and way too much. You almost deaden to the grandeur of it all.
I have many wonderful pictures on my camera but here are a few for now. I am staying in a really nice albergue just outside of Burgos tonight. I didn't get very far in miles but it was fun to spend the day in this beautiful city and play tourist. I just walked out of town a few kilometers today.
It felt odd to have all these tourists around. We don't normally see them on the trail. It is kind of a shock to the system to have this many people around us.
We are on our way to a tiny place called SanBol. It is suppose to have a river with feet healing waters and a communal meal like the one we had at the church in Granon.

Walking, walking, walking. Those yellow arrows keep appearing and I am making my way to Santiago. I think I have about 500 kilometers left to walk. Wow.
The trip is going well and my feet are finally getting used to the daily hike. And! My calf muscles are CRAZY strong. Wahoo!
I stopped in Burgos today to see the cathedral there. It is a world heritage site and just stunning. I have never seen such a large cathedral and there were so many worship spaces I could hardly believe it. I now completely understand why Martin Luther asked for the reforms for smaller and less expensive churches. This place was insane! I will attach some pictures below. I can't even fathom the cost of the gold alone!
